Shan Koe Mee is a traditional Myanmar strategy game
Shan Koe Mee has been one of Myanmar's most popular card games for over a century. The dealing system, scoring method, and competitive structure all make the game more engaging. Two or more players can join, and good results come from managing your hand well and making the right decisions.
In the game, 9 is the highest value, and the player whose hand total is closest to 9 wins. sham789 brings this game to a live casino setting so you can play around the clock alongside players from anywhere.
Drawing, combining, and folding — these three decisions happen continuously until a round ends, which is why players value Shan Koe Mee as a game of strategy.
Understanding the gameplay step by step
How cards are dealt
Each player is dealt 3 cards. There is an option to place a blind bet before looking at your cards. When it is time to look, the leading player decides first.
BasicsHow scoring works
You add up the values of your 3 cards. If the total goes above 10, only the last digit counts. For example, 15 counts as 5. The player closest to 9 wins.
ScoringSpecial hands
Beyond the total score alone, special hands such as a same-suit 3-card flush, a run, and three of a kind carry exceptional points.
SpecialBetting options
A blind bet (before looking at your cards) and a seen bet (after looking) create different strategies, so reading your opponent matters.
StrategyShow Down
When 2 players remain, a show down can be called. Both reveal their cards and the player with the higher value wins the pot. The game can go on for a while if no one calls a show down, so you need both patience and strategy.
EndgameSideshow
You can request a sideshow to directly compare your hand with the previous player's. The player with the lower hand must fold. This is an effective way to pressure your opponent.

Three good strategies for Shan Koe Mee
Shan Koe Mee is not purely a game of luck — a player's strategy and decisions can significantly change the outcome. Following the principles below will help you play more effectively over the long run.
Managing your budget
Keep your bet per round to within 5–10% of your balance, so you can keep playing even through a losing streak. Avoid staking large amounts in the first few rounds.
Reading the cards before deciding
Start with a Blind Bet, watch how your opponents bet, then decide whether to look at your cards. If an opponent bets big and your hand is weak, don't be afraid to fold.
Don't overuse Sideshow
Sideshow is a powerful tool, but use it only when you have a strong hand. If your hand is weak and you request a Sideshow, your opponent — who may hold an even better hand — gets to continue playing, which can make things worse for you.
Remembering how opponents play
On a live casino platform you will often face the same players. Taking note of how they open blind, how aggressively they bet, and how they reveal their cards will help you make better decisions in future rounds.
Taking a short break when luck runs out
If you lose 3–4 rounds in a row, step away for a bit, clear your head, then come back. Playing when you are tired or frustrated makes it hard to make good decisions.
All Shan Koe Mee and other games are intended for players aged 21 and above. Only play with amounts you can afford.
